In 2022, fuel prices hit record highs, sparking protests in over 90 countries<sup>1<\/sup>. The prices of both new and used vehicles are also soaring. Regulators, in their efforts to reduce automotive emissions, are rolling out various measures, from urban or road tolls to environmental taxes and low-emission zones. These measures can all lead to increased usage costs, and cars already represent the third-largest<sup>2<\/sup> expense for households in Europe. It tailors insurance to actual vehicle usage. Additionally, &#8216;pay how you drive&#8217; (PHYD) insurance is emerging, adjusting premiums based on driving behavior to reward cautious drivers.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with Accenture, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize-fs.com\/en\/news\/pay-you-drive-and-pay-how-you-drive-our-first-connected-insurance-offers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mobilize Insurance<\/a> embraces this approach and provides solutions tailored to the intricacies of today&#8217;s mobility landscape.<\/p>\n\t\t\t        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"cp-title-paragraph\">\n    <div class=\"teq-container -narrow\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"title-introduction showUp\">\n\t\t\t\tindicator #2 &#8211; Electric mobility goes mainstream\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t        <div class=\"paragraphe showUp\">\n\t\t\t            \t<p>Today, electrification presents a two-sided coin for motorists&#8217; wallets. According to <strong>France Strat\u00e9gie<sup>4<\/sup>, the savings in operating costs amount to \u20ac1,200 per year for an electric car<\/strong>, making it profitable within six years, factoring in current incentives in France.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, manufacturers are investing heavily in innovation to reduce the production cost of electric vehicles. This is a key objective for Renault Group through its subsidiary, <a href=\"https:\/\/media.renaultgroup.com\/ampere-new-team-for-a-new-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amp\u00e8re<\/a>. Based on ADEME<sup>5<\/sup> data, France currently has 12,000 active car-sharing vehicles and 300,000 regular users. Additionally, carpooling accounts for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecologie.gouv.fr\/sites\/default\/files\/DE_4p_covoiturage-v4-050722_SH_OK.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4%<\/a> of daily commutes. This trend offers numerous advantages: it promotes more efficient use of vehicles that often sit idle, reduces the automotive industry&#8217;s land footprint amid &#8216;Zero Net Artificialisation&#8217;<sup>6<\/sup> goals, and substantially cuts emissions from the sector while trimming individual travel costs. Electric, lightweight, eco-friendly, and purpose-built for city life, these minuscule automobiles also offer the advantage of affordability.<\/p>\n<p>A survey<sup>7<\/sup> conducted by McKinsey reveals that a majority of individuals interested in &#8216;minimobility&#8217; have moderate to low incomes. In this context, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize.com\/en\/wearemobilizers\/smart-charging-the-perfect-partner-for-the-electric-car\/\">Mobilize Duo and Bento<\/a> micro-vehicles, designed for passengers and small cargo transportation respectively, are poised to make a splash. Behind the V2G acronym lies <strong>a promising technology<\/strong>. Through bidirectional charging, vehicles will recharge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize.com\/en\/wearemobilizers\/smart-charging-the-perfect-partner-for-the-electric-car\/\">when electricity is inexpensive<\/a> and demand is low. Conversely, during peak demand periods, cars can inject unused energy back into the grid, contributing to grid stability.
